Hi all, before I start uploading pictures of my arre-works, let me share with you gals tips while you shop for necklaces (adapted from Smitten, july 08)

Everyone should have at least ...

2 Fun necklaces
Let loose with vibrant, personality-filled pieces that make a statement.

-Look for a trendy nexklace, This could be all you need to buy into a seasonal look, like chunky strands of love beads for the bohemian trend.

-Interesting materials - acrylic cut-outs, colourful fabric beads, and so on are fun and unusual.

1 Classic necklace
A matinee-length strand of pearls or diamonds is agelessly elegant for work or evening.

-Look for a classic necklace with lasting value, that you can wear under a shirt for work or with a gown for evening.

-something understated instead of something loud. Pay attention to colours and shapes, and pick something you will like for years.

1 Casual necklace
Spice up your daily wardrobe with a simple versatile necklace that tells a different story every day.

-Look for simple pendants or charms that will blend in with a busy outfit.

- Metal with a heavier weight (lighter pendants or charms look cheaper and wing around)

-Pendants and charms with personal meaning that tell your story.

Avoid or stay away from:

Charms or pendants that spell out your name in huge bling letters - too hip hop wannabe ;P
